Community facilities in Kilmallie

Kilmallie Community Centre is our local community hall.   It is owned and managed by the Kilmallie Community Centre Committee.   In 2011/2012, it underwent significant repair work and improvements to heating.

Community enterprise in Kilmallie

Kilmallie Community Company fosters community enterprise locally. It owns and manages two areas of local woodland:

  • Tom Giubhais, a small but prominent pinewood above the centre of Corpach;
  • Cnoc nam Faobh, an oakwood between the Druim Fada estate and the BSW sawmill.

There is a local Citizens Advice Bureau in Fort William.

Voluntary Action Lochaber supports local voluntary and community activity.

Highlands and Islands Enterprise have a local team in Fort William.

Lochaber Hope offer confidential counselling and a mentoring service.

The Lochaber Housing Association provides affordable housing and related services locally.

The Highlands Small Communities Housing Trust helps rural communities meet their housing needs.

The Lochaber Care and Repair Handyman Service (01397 706333) and the Lochaber Community Care Forum Handyperson Service (01397 700311) offer free help to elderly and disabled people with minor repairs and tasks in the home.
