MV Crinan cruises, 2012

In mid May 2012, there was a week of cruises aboard the MV Crinan from Banavie to Moy, organised free of charge by the Waterways Trust.  The cruises were for local schoolchildren during the day, and for the wider community in the evening.   Stephen Wiseman (Waterways Trust) and the local lock-keepers were all absolute stars – they had all generously given their evenings for free, and they made everyone so welcome, entertained us with anecdotes about the canal past and present, let us all have a shot at taking the helm and working the swing bridge at Moy, and gave us all tea and biscuits too (juice and crisps for the children).  They were absolutely fantastic and their enthusiasm for the canal made each cruise a thoroughly enjoyable outing,  Megathanks to them all.
