About Kilmallie Community News

After a gap of a few years when there was no community council in place, our re-launch issue came out in September 2011, and we have been publishing quarterly since then.  We were runners up in the Highlands and Islands Media Awards in 2012, being awarded ‘Highly Commended’ in the Community Newspaper of the Year category, certificate here

We deliver a free copy of each issue to every home and business in Kilmallie, and we also have an email distribution list.  If anyone is getting missed out by mistake, our apologies – please get in touch and tell us your address or email address.

Please also let us know if you’d like to help our volunteer delivery teams – even if you can only deliver to one or two neighbours, it’s still much appreciated, and it helps us keep our postage costs down.

How is the newsletter funded?

All the editorial and desk-top-publishing work is done on a voluntary basis, as is all the door-to-door delivery.  The printing and postage costs are met by sponsorship from local businesses and a few donations.

Sponsorship

Our newsletters wouldn’t be possible without the generous sponsorship of a number of local businesses.  For details of our current sponsors see the back page of the latest issue.

We are always on the lookout for new sponsors to help us meet our costs.  We welcome sponsorship from all businesses located in Kilmallie, or with principal key personnel resident in Kilmallie.  If you would like to see your name or logo in print supporting your community newsletter, please  join with our current sponsors.   All donations, big or small, are hugely appreciated. Please contact us at treasurer@kilmallie.org.uk for details.
