We are grateful to recently retired councillor Ben Thompson for our New Year photograph.   Since he has been spending more time with his family they went on a wee expedition up a hill to find warmer climes during the apparently foggy weather not long before Christmas and experienced true temperature inversion.  This panorama taken from above Erracht clearly shows the shape of the Ben and features the cloud flowing into the Great Glen to around 250 metres or so.   We need to get out more often!
